The Economic Development Corporation of Decatur-Macon County is excited to offer a Blue Ocean Strategy Workshop, where you will be introduced to (and able to test drive) some of the key tools, processes and methodologies needed to create and capture uncontested market space in your field of business, making competition irrelevant. The workshop will be held at the Millikin University Commons on October 24th from 8 AM to 1 PM. A light breakfast and lunch will be served.

Paolo Vannini, is a global strategist and business development expert, with a successful record of driving profit and revenue growth for international corporations. His skills include: executive management, leadership coaching, strategy, marketing and corporate communication with a consistent focus on results.

Paolo has significant and successful experience in executive management positions: VP, EVP, GM, President & CEO and as Board of Director of numerous companies. Before starting his consulting career, Paolo was President and CEO of Fiat USA, where he greatly contributed to the growth of Fiat Group in North America.

Paolo has diversified professional experience, he is a qualified Blue Ocean Strategy practitioner, and he has worked on numerous successful BOS projects. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Torino.

 

Bob Barnett
Bob Barnett is an internationally respected business strategist leading both development and implementation, using the principles, techniques and methodologies of what was Value Innovation – the Strategic Logic of High Growth – and is now known as Blue Ocean Strategy.

Bob is one of a very small community of highly qualified Blue Ocean Strategy practitioner’s worldwide, working for companies, governments, not for profit organizations and institutions. He is an invited member of the Blue Ocean Strategy Network.

He also cooperates with Professor Mauborgne at INSEAD on client-related projects (e.g. Samsung, Aviva, Thomas Cook) and is a keynote speaker for companies and institutions. He has contributed case study materials to the international best selling business book “Blue Ocean Strategy” (over three million copies and forty languages worldwide).

Bob has wide experience in both advising to, and leading public and private companies in roles as diverse as Corporate Culture Change (British Airways), Business Development, Sales, Training and as CEO and Managing Partner. He has held directorships for nearly two decades, during which period he has also led four successful business start ups.

He has a law degree from Kingston University (London) and has completed numerous post-graduate programs in strategy, management, marketing and cultural change. He is a programme director at the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
